The videos and pictures in the Gallery show some of the processes involved in creating the artworks. The gold gilded glass work is done by painting in enamel the outlines and detailing in reverse on the back of the glass. Additional work is the added in a varnish, gold size or pearl to create furteher detail or an etched effect. Finally the gold, silver or copper leaf is added using traditional techniques with a process called water or oil gilding. All the gold, silver and copper are the genuine precious metals flattened into extremely thin sheets a fraction of a millimeter.
